2011 - USA
Post-Hardcore, Emo, Screamo
A masterpiece of an album. I knew King Park from a long time already and its existentially anxious climax, but the rest of the album is of the same magnitude.
This is not an album you’d particularly want to play over and over because of its intensity, but it’s definitely one you need to hear for its unique experience.
Just as the poetry of the lyrics and the different stories are portrayed, you find yourself clinging to this shouting and trembling voice from the very beginning to the end. And it’s a ride that cannot be replicated twice. It will make your heart beat faster and faster until the music finally explodes and your body shivers, because you don’t keep these sounds in your ears, they instantly spread throughout your entire self, body and mind all trapped into a restless but ecstatic storm.
